    • Hello Sam I have been staying at different friends houses for several days. As far as the peguins go I will have them on sale this next week at artprize. If there is one in particular we could speak about it on site. I will be at my own computer again wednesday night and hopefully could answer your reguest. Take care Paul

  3. I am totally in love with your presentation at Artprize. I am wondering if you would be willing to sell one of your wonderful little penguins?? I would absolutely love to own one of these little guys. 🙂 I am especially interested in the one in the front that stands alone. Thank you for your consideration and sharing your wonderful art.

    • Hello Sue, great to hear from you. I really appreciate your kind words about the Penguin Project. The Artprize response has been amazing. The heartfelt accolades are wonderful and humbling. yes, is the answer to selling them. The adults are $350 with the cement base and 300 without. The babies are 175$ with bases and 150 without. I recommend bases when the work remains outside year round, or for inside if there is a chance they will be jarred. The work is stoneware ceramic and pretty tough but not impervious to breaking. I believe I know which penguin you are talking about.Currently he is available but I have sold 7 in the last 3 days and I believe there are 5 more that will sell for sure. I would like to sell you the one you want but if yours is gone I would build you a special one for the same price. A deposit would secure him for sure. I plan to give some out Sunday night after 6:00 when ArtPrize officially ends. I will also be there Wednesday October 10th to dismantle the installation. I plan to be at Art prize every afternoon this week and leave 6:00ish. I hope to hear from you Paul Nilsson

  9. Hey Paul
Went to Art Prize today and saw your “Three Virtues “. Just wanted you to know that I loved it. In fact, it was my favorite of all the pieces I saw, including 18 of the top 20 I managed to see. Loved the concept, the forms, the faces and the fine attention to finish and design.
The faces and “costume” were superb. Having written icons myself, you use of symbolism was well done. It was clear how you carried out the different cultures of the appearances of the Blessed Mother. Loved the colors and the surfaces you achieved too. Beautifully done and in a better setting, you would have had an even greater recognition. Congrats!!!!!

  10. Hello Paul. My husband’s sister, Rebecca ‘Becky’ Wildenthal, who lives in Williamston bought us a sculpture of a whale from your studio. It looks fabulous. We had it shipped to our house in San Diego where it arrived yesterday. Over a glass topped table The Whale now “swims” beautifully in our living room. We wanted to share two pictures of the Whale in it’s new home but since we can’t attach them here we have emailed them to you. Thank you!

  11. Hello Mr. Nilsson ,
I am the co-chair of the Art Fest this year. I am trying desperately to bring back the arts fest as it once was.
I am very late in coming but I still think it’s worth it. The date is July 30th and the cost for a 10×10 booth w/reg fee is $75.00. If you could join us or know of an artist that could I would greatly appreciate it.
You can google “Williamston Art Fest on the River ” and it will bring you the application. It’s a wonderful venue with grass and tree’s and lot of shade.
Thank you for your time. Text or email me for futher information.
